The Blitz Club Covent Garden

£25.00
Group of young clubbers outside The Blitz club, Covent Garden. The Club is widely regarded as being the birth place of the New Romantics in the early 1980s and those who frequented it were known as 'Blitz Kids'. This included the founders Steve Strange and Boy George and Spandau Ballet amongst them. This photograph however, was made on the closing night of the Blitz in September 1981, by which time the more famous had moved on.
