Riverfront scene from the stairs at County Hall 20th century

£25.00
Riverfront scene from the stairs at County Hall. George Davison Reid photographed this river front scene from the steps at County Hall, the headquarters of the London County Council. County Hall and its Embankment were built before the First World War, but completed in stages only between 1922 and 1933. The sailing barge Lizzie, moored alongside, could have transported building materials to the site. Reid photographed the banks of the Thames extensively, and a number of his images include the Houses of Parliament.
