Charing Cross Cafe Charing Cross Road c 1935

£25.00
The cafés around Charing Cross catered for theatre and cinema visitors, bookshop browsers and loiterers who frequented the area during the 1920s and 1930s. This café and others, including J Lyons Corner House at the end of Charing Cross Road, appeared to be relaxing and inviting places despite their busy locations. Suschitzky worked as a film cameraman in nearby Soho. In between his working hours, he created a series of photos depicting the activity in and around Charing Cross Road.
