Floating Grain Elevator Royal Victoria Dock c.1938

£25.00
Floating Grain Elevator shooting grain into a lighter, Royal Victoria Dock, c.1938. Loose grain was sucked up out of a ship's hold and then shot out into a barge. Corn-porters working in the ship were sometimes called toe-rags, due to the cloths protecting their legs.
