Watercolour on paper. A view of the facade of Birch''s Confectionary Shop, 15 Cornhill with a baker standing at the open doorway. The front is highly ornamented, painted in green with three arched and compartmentalized windows in which jars of iced caked, biscuits and other baked products can be seen. The panes also advertised Jelly, Wines and soups and the upper windows are marked ''Birchs Soup Rooms''. In the foreground 3 pigeons eat some crumbs.
