St George's Church Camberwell. This watercolour by J. Goddard shows the newly-built church in Wells Way. Situated by the Camberwell branch of the Surrey Canal in South London, this church was designed by Francis Octavius Bedford in the classical style. It was built to cater for the local area's rapidly expanding population. The church was declared redundant in 1972.
