Sunset over the Upper Pool from Tower Bridge 20th century

£25.00
Sunset over the Upper Pool from Tower Bridge. Positioned on Tower Bridge, George Davison Reid photographed this sunset over the north shore of the Upper Pool. The signal lamps and semaphore helped guide the ships through the bridge's lifting bascules, which were operated from the control box on the right. Reid photographed the banks of the Thames extensively during the late 1920s and early 1930s.
