                Lulu performing on Ready, Steady, Go in 1964. Ready Steady Go was one of the first pop television programmes which was broadcast between 1963  1966. It was shown on Friday night at 6.08pm. Born Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie her stage name LuLu was created by her manager Marion Massey, from the American expression lulu with means live wire.
